Film Exploits Episode 2 : Man-Made Nature
Hey All,
This is my second episode on man-made nature. Basically, my idea is to take pictures of a man-made nature..meaning parks and lakes built specifically for the benefits of a society. In this case, I went to East Perth.
There is a lake and a park made there to be the center of attraction for the urbanised area. What I wanted to show to you is the contrast from my first episode, which was nature. Although there is not much difference between the man-made and natural nature but there are little details that could not be missed.
Ironically, a televison show on photography I just saw recently taught me how to make a 'documentary' of a place by photographs. This is to let people in on what I was really seeing. Sort of putting yourself in my shoes. Hope I have achieved that in this episode and will take this into account with the next episodes to come.
Next week's episode : Finding Inspiration
This will be about me going to the local library or art gallery to find someting for me to have reference for my photograph. I will search on books teaching techniques on digital photgraphy and try and copy those techiniques. Also, if there is a photography exhibiton around and I am allowed to take video of it I will show you their works.
Hope you'll enjoy this one..
Ohh...another ps: at abt 2 minutes, as i was talking the wind suddenly blew real hard. didnt realise it till i got home if not i wouldve retaken the shoot. apologies for that.
