Psychodogtrainer—How to teach your dog to fetch

Isn’t it good to sit in your courtyard and having your morning tea with your puppy fetching morning paper to you? This is not a dream anymore! Teach your puppy how to fetch would bring you and your puppy more funs.

Sporting breed dogs like labs, goldens, spaniels would tend to retrieve. However, it is always worth to give it a try to train your dog some tricks no matter what breed or age the dog is. The first step to introduce fetch to your puppy is to select an attractive toy to encourage your puppy to chase it. Throw the toy in shorter distant and use praise tone command, “fetch” and let your puppy chase it. After your puppy pick up the toy, tenderly get the toy back from her mouth and give her command, “let.” It is hard for some puppies to give back their favorite toys. Rewards should be provided while your puppy is doing the right thing, giving dog treats are very important at this point. Also, do not forget to praise your puppy.
