iGen 2006 Where We Are Movie

An experiment in using Google Earth with Snaps Pro X (a screen-capture utility under Mac OSX) to create a "zooming-out-from-UWA" movie. In theory you could use Google Earth (and other mapping programs) to create all sorts of dramatic scenes for geolocated vlogs - as there is an interesting visual phenomenon - if you zoom or pan at the same approximate angle as the satellite image was taken, you maintain the illusion of 3D depth! Fun 
Accompanied by a whipped-up soundtrack using royalty-free musical-typing and audio loops from GarageBand. Of course, you can achieve similar effects under Linux (way to go) or even Windows!
