Well, the first vlog is here. Phew, it's just a quick look at the most popular food today. Hope that photos and music are not too bad. I used one track in the CD named "underscore" with uncopyright music. Thanks Helen for lending me the CD. Images are from website of Hungry Jack's brand and some ad brochures of chocolate and cakes.

Vlogging with ACTNOW...Episode 5: Going Green

Climate change and environmental issues are officially at the forefront of the political agenda. Australia may be one of the few countries who have not ratified the Kyoto Protocol but, we Aussies can take matters into our own hands.

Making changes in your lifestyle to make a positive impact on the environment is easy. In this vlog I show you different ways to lead a greener lifestyle.

Also, check out http://www.cleanlife.com.au, a great Perth business which is defiling the green wash and promoting healthier, chemical free choices in our work, education and home environments.

Vlogging with ACTNOW...Episode 7: Bean Aid - give a damn, give a can!

My final vlog entry is about Bean Aid, which was held on the 28th and 29th of October. Bean Aid is Curtin uni's "big event" which aims to raise 100,000 cans of beans to raise awareness about the problems of hunger and poor nutrition in the community. My local youth advisory council and I help to line up donated cans of baked beans to attempt to break the Guinness Record of the most number of cans in a line. The cans were donated to WA charity, Foodbank.

In the end the total number of cans collected was 69 157, which still breaks the previous record of 63 877.

Seems a little silly right? Well beans are actually the third most requested food item after break and milk by charities such as Foodbank. Beans are nutritious and have a long shelf life. In many cultures they are an important staple food item.

Vlogging with ACTNOW...Episode 6: Donating Blood

Finally, the eagerly anticipated vlog entry where I give blood is here! Be prepared for red blood cells, nausea, erratic driving with a sore left arm and chocolate...

Seriously, donating blood is something that everyone (who is fit and healthy) should do. Donating blood can save the lives of three people. It doesn't hurt that much and is extremely safe.

Visit: http://www.donateblood.com.au
If I can do it (and I'm smaller than most of you guys), then you can too!

One Way Ticket Episode 7(final)

Hi everyone,

In this episode, there would be no interview as I’m going to sum up the purpose of my vlogs. As all of you out there have seen, my vlogs were to explore the reason of why foreigners are here in Perth. A variety of reasons have been discovered in my previous vlogs. Though this do not represent a sample of the whole population of foreigners, but it signifcantly explain the feelings of the foreigners about living in Perth.
