Teodoro Presents Kings Park Episode 11 (Documentary)

State War Memorial

After resting at the Water Garden, Michelle and I decide to go to the most visited area in Kings Park: The State War Memorial Precinct. The Precinct is located on the upper right hand side of the map. This area is indeed my #1 favorite spot in Kings Park. I share lots of great historical information in this segment. I touch on the following areas in the Precinct: the Cenotaph, ANZAC bluff, Court of Contemplation, and the Flame of Remembrance. The Precinct is the best area to capture a picture of the Perth city skyline. It is also a great area to see different kinds of bird species.

The Boab Tree

After crossing the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, Michelle and I decide to go into the Botanic Garden. It was the right time to visit the Botanic Garden (lower right hand side of the map) since Kings Park was hosting its hallmark annual event: The Perth Wildflower Festival. I share quite a bit of information about the Wildflower Festival. Michelle and I continue to take a walk around the Botanic Garden. We find some great plant species with beautiful, vibrant colors. We also stop by one of my favorite native plant species in the park: the boab tree.

As you will notice in this episode, Chad is no longer with us. You will find out the reasons why in episode 10 (mockumentary). Michelle and I decide that the show must go on without Chad! We decide that our next stop will be the Lotterywest Federation Walkway. It is located on the lower right hand side of the map and runs parallel to Mounts Bay Road. I share some great information regarding the structure of the Walkway. The Walkway is really cool since you are walking amongst the treetops. You can also get great views of many areas. Film Exploits Episode 5 : Animals

Pygmy Marmoset

Hey,

This time around, I went to the zoo to take pictures of animals. I had absolute fun with this episode but also a challenge. Taking pictures of animals in cages and glass cases are not easy, as you can get reflection of your flash and get the wire mesh in the way. But, I was lucky enough that the animals decided to come out of their hiding and pose for the camera.

Penguins are cute. Naturally, Their enclosure has to have water in order for them to live and play in. This can be a good thing as water allows abstract photographs, if taken at the right time. When they were just about at the edge of the rock, it allowed me to play with their reflection from the water. It even looks as if this particular penguin posing for the camera.

Teodoro Presents Kings Park Episode 7 (Mockumentary)

THIS EPISODE IS A MUST SEE! While we were walking to our next destination in Kings Park, we found something that was really strange. MICHELLE AND I NEVER THOUGHT WE WOULD RUN INTO ANYTHING LIKE THIS! Chad is 100% certain that he knows what it is and he gives us some background information on it. Whatever it may be, I just hope it doesn’t interfere with my documentary. If you want to know what we found, then click on ‘play’ and see for yourself!

Teodoro Presents Kings Park Episode 6 (Documentary)

Bushland Nature Trail

As we continue walking deeper into the Bushland, Chad leads us to his favorite area. That area is called the Kings Park Nature Trail. If you look at your maps, the Nature Trail is located in between Lovekin Drive and Forrest Drive. It is highlighted on the map. As we walk up the path, we locate many interesting individual plant specimens. At the end of the path, we discover a very impressive structure that serves as the entrance and exit of the Nature Trail. The Nature Trail also brings back memories of Chad’s younger years.

Teodoro Presents Kings Park Episode 4 (Mockumentary)

Before heading into Kings Park, I thought it would be a great idea to get to know more about Chad the "King of the Bushland". Chad reveals his connection to Kings Park as he shares personal information about his upbringing. He really opens up in this episode. There are some things that he may say that are a bit farfetched and questionable but what do I know: I am just an international student from North America. So here is the interview: Up Close and Personal with Chad. After this episode, Michelle, Chad, and I decide that it is the right time to go exploring into the Kings Park Bushland area.

Christina's Vlog Episode 7

Vlog #7! here it is.

To over compensate for my rather impersonal video blogs, I decided to have 6 x me talking at you.

To watch, the video is quite overwhelming. It foregrounds how exhausting it is to create, cut up and edit video blogs - how many times you replay and them to yourself and over until you feel worn down by them. This is a reversal where I could be wearing down the viewers. This is also perhaps a similar concept to my second vlog, my interview with anne when the three conversations playing all at once.

Quite a lot of the time while searching through the labyrinth of video blogs the notions of linear production, real time versus edited time and the boundaries between the personal and impersonal are easily destroyed. These tension were constantly playing a tug of war when I was making this vlog. At once it is overwhelming, impersonal and yet there is only one of me talking about my journey through the unit in an empty room.
